We will be displaying classic cars at the Historic Montgomery Wine and Food Trail. This festival is held in the heart of the city of Montgomery. Montgomery is located five miles west of Lake Conroe at Hwy 105 and FM 149. Admission is free to all of the festival area. Fun for all the family.
If you would like to participate and your classic car is 25 years & older, you may contact us at 936-494-1210 between the hours of 9am- 4pm. After 4pm, please call 936-537-1325. You must sign up for this event by Sept 1, 2010.
There is no fee to participate in this car event. The event is opened to all vehicles 25 years & older. However, parking is limited. Please call early to reserve your spot. This is not a car show, but there will be door prizes for car event participants only; and a People’s Choice award will be presented at 4pm.

Saturday Feb. 6, Willis, TX BY INVITATION ONLY! "Props & Rods on Lake Conroe" 11 am - 4 pm. Call for event address. You must RSVP. Limited space. 281-831-9146 or hhcc@consolidated.net Come & go. There will be food. Please bring your own drink. We held the first, destined to become an annual event, PROPS & RODS ON CONROE BIRTHDAY BASH. It was a great success, Over 20 classic cars and street rods responded to the invitation. There were over 60 people in attendance. There were Classic wooden boats, vintage feather craft boats and over 30 antique outboard motors.
Trophies were awarded to the top three winners as judged by the attendees . There was plenty of good barbeque brisket, chicken and ribs to go around. The two clubs merged well and all attendees had a great time. David Jr. had his 25th birthday at the gathering and we are looking forward to doing it again in 2011. Jimmy Drake was the top winner in cars.

The weather was c-c-c-cold but our die-hard Members were there.
Sunday Jan. 10, College Station, TX. Lucky Rod Run. Club will meet at Brookshires in Montgomery on Hwy.105 W. Be on time... leaving at 8am. Just a friendly reminder prepare for any type of weather. This event happens regardless of the weather. Just ask anyone who went last year.
The only difference between men and boys is the degree we go to for our hobbies. John, Frank, Glen and David met at the Airport office at 6:15 am with the outside weather of 16 degrees to make a group run to College Station for the Lucky Rod Run.
I was glad not to run my MG with no top for that run, or to be more specific, my wife said no. We were among the first to arrive at the run, by 9:00 the place was rocking. Saw some of the regular (Cars & People) but also a lot of cars from the Austin area.
All involved had a good time, it warmed up by 9:00am and the sky was clear. Enjoyed getting to ride in Glen’s new car. It was worth the trip just to check out his new rod up close. We left after 12:00 and people were still arriving.

The weather kept everyone away. (First snow of the year?) For real, Houston area did get about 2 - 3 inches of snow. In my area, we only got snow flurries and a bitter cold wind. Did I tell you I hate cold weather!
Saturday Dec. 5; Montgomery, TX. Lighting at Cedar Brake Park at 6:00 pm. The event starts 6:30 p.m. Winners of Christmas pole decorating contest will be announced.
The club can mark up another "atta boy"; we took first place in the Christmas pole decorating contest. The refreshments were perfect, nice and hot, really hit the spot. Thanks to all who helped make this happen and thanks to all who came out on such a cold night. We have some of the best members.
Saturday Dec. 12, Montgomery, TX. Christmas Parade in Montgomery at 11 a.m. This day is filled with lots of different activities for all ages. Time 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Opened to the public, good time to take the grandchildren on an outing. Club members will enter our classic cars in the parade. We will meet at 10 a.m. at the Brookshire's on Hwy 105 W. at 10 a.m. Club will then caravan together over to parade area (Clepper St.). Call 936-537-1325 for more information.
We had several cars show up along with several friends. Thank you friends for showed up with your classic cars. This made a very good showing for the parade. One of the council member choose Jackie & Jerry's 1937 Ford sedan to ride in. The Council Member made a fun ride for all of us. People acted real happy and glad that we were there.
We gave away business cards and we told people that our annual car show would be taking place in June 2010 (Saturday 19th). Here the really scary part about the parade; We had rain up until the line up suddenly the rain stop, the parade began. it was wonderful! And then it started raining once the parade was over! That worked out wonderful; scary but wonderful. Alot of people turned out to watch the parade and the town was hopping; as there were a lot of other things happening at the "Christmas in Historic Montgomery Day". Hope to see you there next year.

Congratulations to Ella Coyle, She received “The spatula” on Saturday December 12, 2009 at our club Christmas party. Everyone could tell by the joy on her face that she was pleasantly surprised.
Not really, but because Ella is such a good sport; she has decided that hubby; John will be cooking breakfast for all the club members on Saturday February 13, 2010.
This event is a club tradition held at 2201 Airport Road in Conroe. Breakfast is served from 8:30 am. Until 11:30 am. So come enjoy breakfast and be part of the tradition. Oh by the way you can place your order anytime by calling.

Monday Nov. 30, Montgomery, TX. Club will decorate light pole at Cedar Break Park in Mont. at 6 pm. If you can help, please do so. Thanks to our Members who donated items for the Christmas stocking and to thoes members who braved the weather to help decorate the pole. Members enjoyed the crisp night air. After decorating the light pole, members decided to go to dinner.

We had 21 cars on this night. Sold tickets for the Angle Tree. Bob & Sharon M. received the cruise night plaque for their corvett. Congrats to them. A good looking vet, should take some trophies at some of the up & comming show. Thanks to all who came by to visit. Enjoyed the evening. Also Congratulations to Jim M. he took 3rd place with his 1930 Model A at the Wolfe Creek car show.

Members and friends met up at 9 am. carvaned over to the Conroe Outlet Mall. We all had a good time. Roy R. won 1st. place for his 1947 Mercury. John C. won 2nd place for his 1965 Impala. Doyle N. received 2nd place for his 1972 Chevy pickup. Door prizes were had by everyone.
